Berlin (dts news agency) – Union parliamentary group vice Carsten Linnemann (CDU) warns of an increase in bankruptcy registrations as a result of the corona crisis. “A wave of bankruptcies will inevitably come, probably as early as autumn,” Linnemann told the magazine “Zeit für Unternehmer”. Some of the five million short-time workers would then become unemployed.
“We have to use smart policies to ensure that this part does not become too big.” From Linnemann’s point of view, the slight recovery in the business climate and the positive development on the stock exchange do not reflect the true situation. “We’re not standing on the mountain, we’re standing in front of it,” said the CDU politician, who heads the SME and Economic Union (MIT).
“Many entrepreneurs paddle through the fog without knowing where the safe shore is and how to get there.”
