Frankfurt / Main (dts news agency) – The Frankfurt Book Fair will take place this year without exhibitors in the hall and predominantly digitally. The classic hall exhibition of the book fair will be suspended due to the pandemic, the organizer announced on Tuesday. Numerous national stands as well as the participation of European exhibitors and trade visitors would be “almost impossible” because of the quarantine regulations that come into force from October 1st.
Accordingly, both the digital offering and the on-site events were expanded. “Now the focus is on our virtual offer and the events in the festival hall and in the city,” said the director of the book fair, Juergen Boos. “In the last few months we have expanded our numerous existing services into a coherent digital overall concept.
