Frankfurt / Main (dts news agency) – At the start of the week, the DAX rose significantly. At the close of Xetra trading, the index was calculated at 13,100.28 points, an increase of 2.01 percent compared to Friday’s close. Auto stocks were at the top of the price list.
According to a media report, Daimler boss Ola Källenius does not rule out the possibility of producing certain models directly in other markets; the paper gained over four percent by the afternoon. Volkswagen caused a sensation and apparently a good mood among investors with a video in which Tesla boss Elon Musk and VW boss Herbert Diess undertook a test drive in the “ID 3” on a cordoned off part of Braunschweig airport. There was criticism from Musk, but also praise for VW’s electric model.

The European common currency trended somewhat weaker on Monday afternoon. One euro cost 1.1824 US dollars (-0.14 percent). The gold price was also weaker, in the afternoon 1,929.10 US dollars were paid for one troy ounce (-0.26 percent).

That corresponds to a price of 52.45 euros per gram. There was no trading on the US stock exchanges on Monday.
