Frankfurt / Main (dts news agency) – At the end of the week, the DAX fell. At the close of Xetra trading, the index was calculated at 12,764.71 points, a decrease of 0.51 percent compared to the previous day’s close. Weak economic data such as the PMI purchasing managers index for industry and services combined with a further increase in the number of corona infections created a sales mood.

Shortly before the end of trading, almost all values were in the red, only Covestro shares rose significantly, over two percent at this point. The analysis house Kepler Cheuvreux had upgraded the material manufacturer based in Leverkusen from “Reduce” to “Hold” and raised the target price from 28 to 41 euros. Papers like RWE and Deutsche Post also stayed in the green in the afternoon.

The European common currency trended weaker on Friday afternoon. One euro cost 1.1778 US dollars (-0.70 percent).
